With a rapidly growing high-rise population, strata communities and strata managers are set to play an increasingly important role in Melbourne’s future.
As the strata sector grows, owners corporations across the city are working to ensure their buildings maintain market appeal in a changing environment and with increasing cost-of-living pressures. Strata managers are integral to this work.
Having recognised this, the Melbourne City Council sought submissions from Strata Management companies in order to select one company to work with the Council to co-design a partnership that seeks to equip strata managers for 21st century challenges and improve outcomes for customers by creating cohesive strata communities who work collaboratively for the betterment, longevity and liveability of their building.
The Council were looking for a Strata Management Company that are forward thinking and are innovative leaders in the strata sector and we are very pleased to announce that Turnbull Cook have won that Strata Partnership.
Together, Turnbull Cook and the Melbourne City Council have the following objectives from the partnership:
- Test opportunities to support the strata sector to embrace and respond to 21st century challenges to improve outcomes for customers by creating cohesive strata communities who work collaboratively for the betterment, longevity and liveability of their building.
- Raise the awareness of sector wide development opportunities through information sharing and by demonstrating value through this Project.
- Understand how strata managers can positively impact the sustainability of the buildings/owners corporations they manage.
- The insights gained through the project will be shared with the strata sector more broadly and through government networks.
